Your First Visit

Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted and we will verify you have completed your New Patient Paperwork. We will then give you a tour of our beautiful office so you know where things are and what to expect. Then, we will take you to our Consultation Room where the doctor will begin the consultation and exam, which incorporates many aspects, but with three main categories.

First our doctors will go over an extensive history with you in regards to your current and past health challenges, if any. Second, we will spend time explaining how chiropractic wellness care works, and specifically how things are done in our office. We strongly feel that the more we know about you, and the more you know about us, the more we can help, and that is our primary mission. The third component is likely the most important, is our comprehensive examination. The exam done at our office is very thorough and expansive, allowing us to figure out exactly what is going on with your health, and what the true cause of your challenges are.

We perform a computerized exam that allows us to measure the amount of stress on your central nervous system. This test is the foundation of our exam.

We use state-of-the-art technology to measure the connection between your brain and your body (the nervous system). INSiGHT Scans utilize neuro-thermal technology, surface electromyography (sEMG), and heart rate variability (HRV) to assess neurological function, identify underlying stress, and track progress during your healing journey. This technology is:

  • non-invasive and has no radiation

  • data to track results

  • safe for everyone, including during pregnancy, and for infants & children

  • accurate care plans to reach your goals

The major emphasis of our initial exam is to evaluate your spine and central nervous system, determine how it is functioning, and find where the stress and challenges are that will need to be addressed.

The doctors will then go over all the information gathered on this first visit and create a specific care plan to address and remove your current health challenges.

Your Second Visit

On your 2nd visit, you will be taken to the Consultation Room, where one our doctors will go over all of the results from your examination. We refer to this as your Report of Findings. This is also the time where you have the freedom to ask any and all questions you may have!

The doctors will explain the results of the scans that were performed. The scans have 3 components and each will be explained and related to your specific condition or challenge. Again, this is the most important piece as you will be re-scanned on a very specific schedule in order to track and document your functional improvements. It is very important to us that you have a good understanding of what is going on with your body and central nervous system. We will also go over the details of your care plan.

Once your report is finished, we will discuss the financial aspects of your care and your options with our affordable cash family plans. You will then be taken to an adjusting room for your adjustment. Once that adjustment is performed and you are on your way to improved health and wellness, we will show you how to check in for your regular appointments and set up your schedule of care!

Regular Visit

On a typical visit during the course of your care, you sign in electronically for your appointment at our front desk or through the app.

Every part of care in our office contributes to the process designed to restore your health and wellness. So while you will likely have more frequent visits in the beginning you will be seeing progress with each step along the way! Regular visits are quick and efficient, regardless if you are an individual or a family of five. We know how busy you are!

Common Questions

Why would a baby or child need to see a chiropractor?

It is part of our mission to help pregnant women achieve the best birth outcomes because we know much it can influence postpartum and infant health. The lasting effects birth has on the health of infants and children is not something that is addressed in conventional healthcare. Here is a list of some things that can cause trauma during birth:

  • Very long labor

  • Very short labor

  • The use of Pitocin

  • Pain medications

  • Restricted maternal birthing positions

  • Pulling or twisting on the baby’s head to help deliver their body

  • Forceps or vacuum extraction

  • Cesarean

When this trauma is left uncorrected it can be enough stress to kick their nervous system into fight-or-flight mode, causing many health challenges that could have been prevented. Nursing difficulties, sleep disturbances, inability to be soothed, colic, constipation, and reflux are examples and signs of spinal nerve stress in infants.

Parents are often told that their baby will grow out of these types of symptoms, but through a neurological chiropractic lens we have found that they grow into other issues. This looks like a toddler with chronic ear infections and allergies; kids with anxiety, ADHD, and sensory challenges.

We know we can make the biggest change and lasting impact with prenatal and newborn chiropractic care, but it is never too late to get your child checked. We have the technology to measure the amount of stress on their nervous system to know how much care they will need to undo months or years of spinal nerve stress.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are not in network with any insurance companies. We strive to see all members of our community and we are happy to to give you a super bill so you can submit this to your provider yourself. We do encourage using your HSA and FSA. Seeing the entire family is a major focus in our practice, so by not accepting insurance we are able to make care affordable for everyone. We work in conjunction with Chiro Health USA to offer legal discounts for individuals and families. We always welcome open and honest conversations about finances to accommodate any budget. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Is chiropractic actually safe?

This is a common question we hear as chiropractors. There are many studies that prove the safety and efficacy of chiropractic care. A prime example we like to use in our office is the comparison of liability insurance amongst health care providers. Did you know the average annual fee for two family medical doctors liability insurance is around $20,000. For two chiropractors, this fee is closer to $2,000. Chiropractors are trained in the art, specificity, and safety of the adjustment through the entirety of our doctorate programs. Dr. Jo was adjusted during her entire pregnancy and was able to have a safe, natural birth at a birthing center. Dr. Cory even adjusted their son right after he was born!
